Grandma sewing room
So I am almost done with cleaning my grandmas sewing room that wasn’t touched in 10 years because of all the mess, but now that she passed away 2 days ago, I don’t know if I should continue, I wanna finish what I started but I don’t know what to do, my grandpa is still alive and I don’t want to leave this burden on him.See More

Melinda,
I saw your post the other day and I just want to say how sorry I am for the loss of your husband. I lived close to Pittsburgh for part of my life (childhood) and felt a tug of kindred spirit.
Your 25 year old son has the right idea. You will need support for awhile going forward and what that says about how you and your husband raised him that he cares that much is such a gift. Lean on him.
You will probably have many more phases of thinking you are doing ok and then it will hit again but that is part of this grieving process. Nothing you'll routinely see, more like just a bolt out of the blue but expect it. It will continue to happen for awhile.
I am going to be staying in the Pittsburgh area starting this spring through the fall and if you would like maybe we could say hello over a cup of coffee. In the meantime take baby steps and let your son be there for you. You are lucky he is……..
