About Me:
i'm mid-50s, mother of one, grandmother to two. parents still living, married to my love for 38 years now. love to read, cook. admitted tv crime drama addict, passionate about politics and animals.
About my Loss:
my best friend, also named karen, lost her battle with cancer june 24, 2011. it was stage 2 breast and stage 4 liver when diagnosed in july 09, spread to her brain in feb. 2010. was ultimately liver failure that killed her. i was one of her caretakers. spoke at her memorial, thought i was moving forward with my grief. finding out i'm still hurting worse than i expected, six weeks later.
