- lost my husband september 3rd of this year i watched him suffer from lung disease the last 3 weeks of his life he was on a ventilator and heart and lung machine waiting for a lung transplant that never came. he got to sick for the lung transplant and i was told by doctors he would not survive because of how sick he was. i had to make the aweful decision to take him off the life support. he didnt want to be on it if there wasnt a chance for his survival. it was the most devasting thing. this man was my life my soulmate my everything. and i hurt so bad and i cant function anymore.

Traumatic loss of an only child
I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.

thank you so much for your comments. My wife passed of lung disease too and had to take her of a ventilator, she was 60. It happened Dec 27 last year and its been hard for me. been thinking of her every second of the day but I try to find things to do which is hard to do but I manage. It gets a little easier. I probably weep for her 4 or 5 times a week. Not balling crying just tears when I think of her the way she went. Stay strong and don't make any rash decisions, let things marinate. I was all over the place a total wreck. I've watched other people videos on You tube on how they made it and read stories online how they delt with it so it does give hope
