Traumatic loss of an only child
I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.

Carol,
I cannot imagine how you must feel having this kind of traumatic accident happen to your family. Your wounds must be deep and inconsolable. I really hope you have some family or someone close that you can go to for support.
At the early stage of my own grief I found it necessary to just take one little step every day. Just getting out of bed and getting a shower was huge. The worst part was having to deal with some of the legal things which in our society there is no one willing to wait. If it got to be too much for me I just cried in front of whoever it was that was pushing. I couldn't help it. All I can say is do what you need to do no matter what happens. Right now you need to look out for yourself no matter what.
Everyone on here has been where you are and you will always have an ear to listen.
