- came home from work one day about 3 weeks ago and found boyfriend dead in our firepit in the back yard. apparently he had a heart attack and died before the fire got him.

Hi everyone. This is my first post here.I lost my brother in December 2024 to an accidental overdose. He passed away suddenly in his sleep. I am sorry about your loss. I too came home to find my boyfriend/fiance dead on April 27, 2012. It is something I do not wish on anyone. You asked if it gets easier. I am not sure easier is the word. I think maybe things will be more bearable. Everyone grieves so differently. I am still trying to make sense out of all of this. What I am learning it to be kind to myself and take care of myself during this time. And if I need a day or more than a day to stay home and cry and think of him.... I do just that. I am trying to let all the feelings just be and come out.
I hope this gives you some kind of comfort. I am glad you found this site... use it as much as you need to. :)
