- About Me:
- Canadian citizen, was married for over 18 years, now a widower. I am on disability for PTSD and concussion from a car accident.
- About my Loss:
- My beautiful wife Julie had muscular dystrophy. She was in a wheelchair since childhood. In early 2019, she started having breathing issues related to her MD. She spent 7 weeks in an ICU and had a tracheostomy. She was doing very good after that. She was transferred to a nursing home for therapy, and on her first night there she passed away. I believe it was because there was only 2 nurses for over 40 patients, and they ignored her when she called to have her trach hose cleared, and she choked to death. But the death certificate showed "respiratory failure" which was purely to protect the nursing home from lawsuit. That's the American health system.

Grandma sewing room
So I am almost done with cleaning my grandmas sewing room that wasn’t touched in 10 years because of all the mess, but now that she passed away 2 days ago, I don’t know if I should continue, I wanna finish what I started but I don’t know what to do, my grandpa is still alive and I don’t want to leave this burden on him.See More
