- my daughter is dying of the last stages of a class IV glioblastoma of the brain and oncologist says could be any time. I have been one of her main caregivers.

Traumatic loss of an only child
I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.

Hi Willa, Thank you for your kind words and support. While my daughter, Sara, was in the hospital I kept it together for the most part. During the last month or so all I did was cry. I knew she was dying but didn't want to believe she was leaving me. Still I knew and could not keep it together. Now that she has been gone for over a month and a half I find myself in great denial. I cried myself silly yesterday and just want her back. I see her picture and feel like she will walk through the door every night. Today has been better by the grace of God. Everyday is different and I still just can't believe it. I don't know if you know my story or not. If not and you want to just let me know and I will tell you.
