About Me:
Two years ago my husband died of cancer. We were married for 24 years. However, I was very young and people say I still have some good years ahead of me. But it is very difficult at times to keep this in mind. Sometimes I feel that whatever is ahead of me is no better than the last several years of my life. I am a creative person misplaced in a job that is barely supporting me. Six months after my husband died, I was laid off. I had UI benefits that really did not sustain me, but somehow I managed. I have little support around me and feel alone and isolated most of the time.
About my Loss:
We were everything to each other. He was my friend, lover and lifelong compagnion. We had similar interests and had fun together. However, we also disagreed with each other too often for our own good. Despite the tumultuous times in our relationship, I think it was a rich relationship compared to most!

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
