About Me:
I'm 61 years old, never married and still live in our homeplace - been in the family since 1944. I'm disabled and don't get out much. Still I'm perfectly content with my books, my cats and my computer.
About my Loss:
My mother passed away in August, 2013 and sometimes I miss her so much that I can't hardly stand it. We were together 24/7 and were more best friends than mother and daughter. Sometimes I catch myself starting to say something to her and I realize she's not here. I don't want to go anywhere because all I'll be thinking of is when Mother and I were here together. People mean well and say it will get better and she's in a better place but that doesn't keep from hurting so much on the inside. It's hard to believe that it will get better when I miss her so much every day. I do have the promise of heaven and I'll see her (and other family members) again. So far, that's the only thing that gives me any comfort.
