- I just lost my uncle from stage 4 squamous cell lung cancer. I was really close to him. This is the 4th death since April. I lost my adopted grandpa to pneumonia in April. We were his only family.

Traumatic loss of an only child
I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.
Loss of a loved one to alcohol, substance abuse or suicide
If you have lost a loved one to alcohol, substance abuse or suicide please share your story or feelings here. Share the love and beauty of the one you lost. Losing someone any of these ways is not natural and can be hard to understand and ask why? I lost my Mother to an overdose 9 years ago. She also suffered from major depression. Hello Trey,
Thanks for the friend request. I am always glad to talk with those who, like myself, are grieving over the loss of a loved one.(s). It is comforting to know others are trying best to move forward and begin to enter reality a little bit at a time, after the death of a precious one.
Always remember that the PLAN of life is for each of us to leave this Earth at some time in our life. But the time will be when we will all be re-united with each other in the Sweet By & By. Then we will never have to say good-by to anyone again.
