About my Loss:
I lost my grandmother almost 5 years ago. She died exactly one month before my 25th birthday. She was my other parent. My mom and she raised me together. She lived with us. Even since then I have lived in denial, lost a fair amount of friendships, and haven't felt that my loss was legitimate because she was 97 years old when she died. I'm starting to finally face it now, it is hard but necessary.
