About Me:
I am 35 years old. I have a 15 yr old and a 12 year old. I live in central FL and I am a registered nurse. I have been married 16 and a half years to a great guy and my Dad means the world to me.
About my Loss:
I love my mom July 4, 2010. It has been almost 8 months. She had uterine cancer. She fought it for 1 year and 3 months but she got a bowel obstruction and they couldnt operated because the cancer was blanketing all of her organs. So she came home on hospice never to eat or drink again. We knew it was only a matter of weeks at best with a little bit of IV fluids but after about a week, she elected to turn off the IV fluids and not suffer the fear any longer. I took care of her medical care 100% with hospice only bringing supplies due to my medical background. We had a lot of talks and that is comforting but she would cry and say she didnt want to die. She fought a good fight. Her death was torture. I saw my mom die. I saw her eyes fixed and her tongue..I know that is silly and you would think I could handle death, and I can but not when it is your mom. I was 34 and she was 64. I feel cheated! I finally concluded I need someone to talk to!

My mom died 4 months ago

My mom had pulmonary fibrosis. She was sick for a few years. It was funny how when my grandmother smoked, my mom would always say-I’m gonna die from second hand smoke. My mom never smoked. She died from lung disease. Ironic.I was fine at the funeral. Planning. Talking to everyone. I thought u handled it great. Now 4 months later, I’m a mess. Some days I’m perfectly fine, but others I can’t walk down the street without crying. I keep thinking that I haven’t talked to her in a while & I…See More
