About Me:
I'm 51, employed part time in the mental health field. By training, I'm a Certified Peer Support Specialist in mental health as well as a WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) Facilitator. My current position is working as a Behavioral Aide. I reside in Duluth, MN and am in a committed relationship. I also do some public speaking from time to time, primarily about mental health and my own recovery story.
About my Loss:
Many - what brings me here at the moment is the 2nd anniversary of my Mother's death - today (2/16/2017) and the upcoming 4th anniversary of my Father's death on 2/23/17. Those are the primaries- I tend to "trigger" on dates, so I'm finding today tougher than expected. My boyfriend is not immediately available to me, but will be later in the evening. I'm just trying to get through NOW.
Are You a Service Provider? If Yes, please tell us about your service.
Not specifically in a grief-related area, although I have worked in mental health since 2012.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
