Profile Information

About Me:
I am 37 years old and I am a VNAC (CNA) for the state of Illinois. I take care of our Veterans at The Illinois Veteran's Home in Quincy, IL.
About my Loss:
On the night before Father's Day my little boy was killed by a flashflood. He was in the car ahead of me with his Dad and we were all coming home from a nice family time. One second they are in front of me and the next they are hit by a huge wall of water and gone. They sank in 12 foot of water in a bean field. We were told that it should have been impossible for Tony to break out the window but he did. He was able to get Malachi unbuckled but before he could get him out of the car Tony was ripped away from the car by the 60 mph current. It was over 12 hours before they found our sweet little boy's body. The man who lives there has been there for 50 years and it has NEVER flooded before.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
