About Me:
I'm a 53 year old mother of three adult daughters. They are Jenny (34), Gwen (25 and Megan (21). I also have three grandchildren, Breanna, 13, Brian, 9 and Kieran, a wild age 3. Marc and I were married almost 27 years when he died. It was a second and very happy marriage for both of us. I am an only child, and am part owner of a golf course with my parents. I work there, usually six days a week in the summer, far less in the winter. I live in a small town in WI in a beautiful house. It was our dream house that we built and moved into 6 years ago.
About my Loss:
Marc had esophageal cancer 15 years ago, and we felt so lucky that he beat his cancer and that we would be able to grow old together. On February 15, he was traveling home and there were some slippery spots on the highway. According to the only witness, he was traveling under the speed limit and must have hit a slippery spot, as he went off the side of the road and the nose of the car dug into the ground so that the car flipped end over end. He was dead at the scene of the accident. My girls all live fairly close (the youngest has been living at home), so at first I was coping pretty well. We were there for each other, I automatically went into caregiver mode, and I was also probably in some kind of shock or denial for a while. In the last few weeks, I just seem to feel worse and worse. I feel so incredibly alone.....

Grandma sewing room

So I am almost done with cleaning my grandmas sewing room that wasn’t touched in 10 years because of all the mess, but now that she passed away 2 days ago, I don’t know if I should continue, I wanna finish what I started but I don’t know what to do, my grandpa is still alive and I don’t want to leave this burden on him.See More
