About Me:
My husband and I moved to Singapore in April 2010. I am from North Carolina and my husband is British. We have one old black lab named Sadie; no children. We are newly married Jan. 2010. I have been tutoring english for the past 10 months on a part-time basis to Japanese housewives wishing to improve their speaking skills. However, we moved to Singapore for my husband's position as a chemical engineer.
About my Loss:
My Mom passed away suddenly on Oct. 2nd as the result of a stroke. She was a vibrant, young 71 year old and it has knocked me to my knees. Not only have I lost my Mom, she was also my best friend. I need to talk to others dealing with this unbearable pain. It is especially hard being so far from home. I just returned to Singapore Sunday Nov. 20th and I am finding it very hard after having spent the past six weeks in her home in Charlotte. That closeness to her life made me feel very close to her. Although I feel her with me, it's just not the same. I miss her terribly. Tamera

Grandma sewing room
