- I am 45 years old, recently widowed and just recently moved out of the United States to relocate in New Zealand.
- About my Loss:
- I met my wife in 2001. She had been a life-long sufferer of lupus/mixed connective tissue disease. As her illness progressed, I assumed a more and more of a caregiving role. In February of this year, after a long and brave fight, she passed away at the age of 41.

Traumatic loss of an only child
I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.
