About Me:
I met my husband when I was 17. He bought me 18 roses on my 18th birthday 3 months later. This passed November marked 30 years together. He turned 52 on Nov 7. My son turned 21 on Nov 22. My husband was diagnosed with cancer one month after my 40th birthday. On the 5th of January 2015 I turned 48 and my son sent me 18 red roses and 30 white ones.
About my Loss:
My son was born in 1993. My father in law was diagnosed with cancer in 1994 and passed in 1998. My mother in was diagnosed with cancer right before he passed, she passed in 2002. My husband was diagnosed with cancer in 2007. My loss is long term and seemingly never ending. On Christmas morning at 4 am, I called the ambulance for third time in a 30 day period. My husband never woke up. He passed 3 days after Christmas, 3 days before New Years, 8 days before my birthday. It had been 8 years since the diagnosis but it seems harder now than ever. We have grieved for 8 long years, day by day but the loneliness is overwhelming at times. Even sick, he was a presence in the house, doing the day to day menial things that we all have to do. We had many animals, many of which we had to part with. I am only one person and my son is in college, heading for law school. My husband is everywhere, in everything we do, have done, will continue to do, everyone knew him. It will be a life long grieving. I don't know how anyone moves on and has a life beyond something like this. But I can't imagine spending the next 50 years alone either.

Grandma sewing room

So I am almost done with cleaning my grandmas sewing room that wasn’t touched in 10 years because of all the mess, but now that she passed away 2 days ago, I don’t know if I should continue, I wanna finish what I started but I don’t know what to do, my grandpa is still alive and I don’t want to leave this burden on him.See More
