About Me:
I'm 52 years old was a single parent since my son was 2 years old as his dad chose not to be part of his life,my son grew up asking why and what did I do to make my dad treat me this way. I had to be mom and dad both but we survived. I raised an amazing son and remarried when he was 18 years old, he and his step-father had a good relationship,they had their moments but we made it.After almost 8 years of marriage I called it quits due to a husband who had quit respecting me and was jealous of my new grandbaby. I tried to protect my son from all I was going through ,as he had been through enough all of his life and my grandaughter wasn't going to go through what her father went through during his childhood. he was the best dad and was there for his daughter in everyway,unlike his own father.I hoped that I was making the best decision for all involved but my son got really angry with me and took his step-fathers side on some issues, but I kept trying to survive with the decision I had made.I could go on and on but enough of all of that ,so let me tell you the reason for joining this group.
About my Loss:
My son , Paul,age 27 died ina tragic truck accident on May 2, 2011. He was on his way home from work and the wrech happened about 10:30 pm in Graham NC, the truck ran off the right side of the road and he tried to overcorrect and that caused the truck to roll over 2 times and smack a tree, causing him to be thrown 100 feet,therefore breaking his neck.

Grandma sewing room

So I am almost done with cleaning my grandmas sewing room that wasn’t touched in 10 years because of all the mess, but now that she passed away 2 days ago, I don’t know if I should continue, I wanna finish what I started but I don’t know what to do, my grandpa is still alive and I don’t want to leave this burden on him.See More
