About my Loss:
My mother died unexpectedly June 2017. She was 72, and while she had made it through cancer 6 years earlier, she had health complications that she dealt with. She died from sepsis caused by pneumonia and ultimately her heart stopped. I was not prepared since she made it through the cancer. I still miss her and my mom and dad were married 53 years. My dad started dating weeks after her death and has a friend that has been around since 3 months after her passing. Admittedly, I am still missing mom, but now miss my dad as he does not talk to me much anymore with this new person in his life. So I feel like I couldn't grieve my mom when this friend came into the picture. Now I miss both my parents.
