About Me:
SWM, 51, paraplegic, live with father.
About my Loss:
Mom died on March 5, 2014. It was fairly sudden, and quite unexpected. She had had successful hernia-repair surgery a couple of weeks before, and was home and doing well. But her system didn't recover fully from the anesthesia; her stomach didn't empty fully, causing toxins to enter her bloodstream. She was diabetic, and a dialysis candidate. Her kidneys shut down, and that was the end. She was in the hospital for the last time for less than a week.
