- About Me:
- I am a 23 year old artist, I love painting, photography, crochet, knitting, anything really that deals with arts and crafts... I suffer from anorexia and I've been in treatment for the past year to try to alleviate my depression and learn how to eat again. I've been through every kind of therapy including EMDR and ECT. Nothing seems to help because I'm losing the love of my life. I also struggle with self harm and suicidal thoughts. I hope this group can bring me more closure and let me feel less alone.
- About my Loss:
- I am 23 years old and I am losing the one person in my life that I turely love with all of my heart. She is 25 years old and terminal. She already has outlived her life expectancy. I have been watching her die from the inside out for a little over 3 years now. Her name is Amanda Marie, but I call her Panda. She is my light when things are dark and I can't bare to imagine a world without her. Lately she has been consumed by depression and it's hard to raise her self worth. I'm at an inpatient facility for eating disorders over 1,000 miles away, my therapist is encouraging me to reach out to an online support group now, so that when Panda does pass I'll have some kind of support from people that understand what I'm going through. I can't imagine going through a more painful experience. She is the love of my life and I have to learn to accept that she won't be here with me much longer. I feel helpless and scared and a million other emotions I'm afraid to get in touch with.
