About my Loss:
I lost my grandma last month, October 2012. She lived to be 104. I had my grandmother in my life for 53 years, how lucky was I? I was fortunate enough to not only have a loving mother, but I also had my devoted, loving grandmother. How does someone survive the holidays?
I'm struggling with the holidays approaching, not having my best friend, my confidant, my go to person here with me. I miss her everyday and I hurt everyday. I was with her when she took her last breath. I hugged her tight, kissed her face and breathed in her last breath, she'll be with me forever. I feel blessed that I was with her when she passed. How/when does the hurt subside?

Grandma sewing room
