About Me:
I'm single, never married and no children. I have been in a relationship with the same man for over 18 years. I'm in sales and work from home. Have one sister. Lost my Mother 8 years ago and my Dad just 3 weeks ago. I was very close to both my parents and had a great relationship with both of them. They were married 57 years before my Mother died. We had Dad move to be near us. We spent a lot of time with him since then.
About my Loss:
I've never really gotten over the death of my Mother, which was very sudden. My Dad's death was a much longer process. He's been slowly declining over the last three years, but took a very bad fall in July 2013. It's been terrible watching him waste away. My sister and I were at his bedside when he died. I just can't cope without having "a parent" They were my entire family really. They were my true supporters with no strings attached as in other relationships. Who do I call for advice? Even at 92 I could ask my Dad his opinion on things. I feel totally lost! But more than that it's just plain weird not having parents.
