My mom died 4 months ago
My mom had pulmonary fibrosis. She was sick for a few years. It was funny how when my grandmother smoked, my mom would always say-I’m gonna die from second hand smoke. My mom never smoked. She died from lung disease. Ironic.I was fine at the funeral. Planning. Talking to everyone. I thought u handled it great. Now 4 months later, I’m a mess. Mel, this is such a beautiful welcome note. I wanted so badly to say hi to Patricia but I feel just tapped completely out. (Hi, Patricia. My grieving is leaving me feeling a little tapped out.) I am so glad to see your beautifully worded welcome to her.
Welcome Patricia. I think you'll find that everyone on this site is caring, compassionate and helpful as we all make this horrible journey together. I lost my wife in late April. She died in my arms after suffering for 2.5 years from a massive right side stroke. I was her main caregiver. It was heartbreaking and I really don't know how time or anything else will heal the wound of loss. But, I pray for all of us that we will, eventually, find some peace and comfort in our lives and move on with happy memories and a smile
