About Me:
50+ woman, was a stay at home mom for over 20 years, went back to work, trying to make a go of various p/t admin ,childcare, elderly attendant jobs, nothing exciting, just to pay the bills, put food on the table.Must be more to life than that!
About my Loss:
Lost my boyfriend who (I'd hoped to marry) in a military action 30 years ago. Married his friend a year later(much too soon), had kids, lovely family but divorced 7 years ago for many reasons. Some married adult children, others leaving home find myself struggling to survive financially and very much, too much on my own. have tried hobbies, groups attend lectures events, but not making friends.

As "just" a girlfriend was not recognized like a widow, but all hopes and dreams never came to fruition, ended up with totally wrong man,now nobody..

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More

Traumatic loss of an only child

I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.
