About Me:
38 year old mother of 3. 12, 8 and 7. I work as a nurse and am doing the best that I can for my family.
About my Loss:
My husband passed in January after a heart attack caused by arterial blood clots. We aren’t clear what caused them but think they are related to low testosterone treatment. He fought hard for two weeks and was on the transplant list before his body started shutting down and there was nothing else we could do. We tried dialysis one last time but his heart couldn’t handle it and he passed away. He was only 42. We had been together for 19.5 years and married for 15 years. The immense loneliness is suffocating. It’s been 7 months and it still feels like yesterday. I still cry everyday and am wondering when the pain will start to ease if ever. I look at my kids and it hurts so much that he isn’t here to see them grow. I only hope I can be what they need to be happy healthy kids. Putting on a brave face gets harder and harder but I get up everyday with hope it’s better than the last.
