About Me:
I am a mommy to two great kids, a wife to a supportive husband and a friend to a handful. But ... before any of those things occurred, I first was a daughter to the most amazing mother.
About my Loss:
My mom passed away on January 29, 2011. She had been sick much of her life and in my younger years, I neglected to see her pain. As I grew, so did her struggles. Unfortunately, I became so wrapped up in my own life between marriage, kids, career, etc., that I neglected to see and/or appreciate her strength through that ongoing pain. As a result, we didn't talk as much as either of us wanted to. Now, I never could have braced myself for how empty life would feel without her.
