My mom died 4 months ago
My mom had pulmonary fibrosis. She was sick for a few years. It was funny how when my grandmother smoked, my mom would always say-I’m gonna die from second hand smoke. My mom never smoked. Natalie ~ I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Your family will be in my prayers. I know this will be hard for you to do, but for the sake of the 15 year old try to get him to talk about his experience. If not with you or his father, then with a pastor or other trained professional. He needs the assurance it was not his fault. I might suggest as a family you all sit down and talk about this with a counselor. Trust me it will help. Another suggestion is each person write down their feelings in a journal. They can choose to share them with the family or not that should be up to them, but it would give them a safe place to vent their fears, frustrations and pain. I am glad you have the support of your mother, but know also you have the support of each of us here.
