About Me:
I am 25 years old I was born and raised in pittsburgh pa. i have four half sisters and three dogs. I have been married for a little over a year.
About my Loss:
In January of 2004 my mother and 14 year old little sister were murdered by my mother's ex boyfriend along with two of his friends. I was 19 years old and had just moved out. My mother's family didn't give me any real support and i barely knew my father's family at the time. Their murderer is in jail on two consecutive life sentences for the other murders he commited. they never found the murder weapon he used on my mother and sister so he is yet to be charged for their crime. I miss them both dearly.

I Have learned ,to my own detriment, to hold in my emotions until the most inopportune time. This started when i was very young, i had certain family members who always told me to keep my mouth shut, and that crying was showing weakness. the same ones who told me that when i was five are the same ones who told me the same things when my mom and sister died. they say old habits die hard, well this bitch is taking it's sweet time. My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More

Traumatic loss of an only child

I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.

Loss of a loved one to alcohol, substance abuse or suicide

If you have lost a loved one to alcohol, substance abuse or suicide please share your story or feelings here. Share the love and beauty of the one you lost. Losing someone any of these ways is not natural and can be hard to understand and ask why? I lost my Mother to an overdose 9 years ago. She also suffered from major depression. Her doctor got her hooked on pain medication and she was addicted most of my life. These doctors who were suppose to help her ended up killing her in the end. I also…See More
