About Me:
I am a teacher, mother of 4 and grandmother of 8. I work in a public school within my county. I teacher special education and enjoy working with children.
About my Loss:
I loss my mom on November 29, 2011 shortly after my 50th birthday. She was 92 years old. She and my dad had me later in life. I am their only child. I lost my dad in 1989 and came to terms with his death. But I seem to be unable to get over the death of my mother. I miss her so very much. She was my rock and in pretty good health up until about 3 months before she passed away. I had no indication that it was nearing the time of her demise. Since I am an only child, she had resided in a nursing home for the past 13 years. She got to the point where she needed someone to watch out for her. Me and my kids visited her on weekends and would pick her up and bring her home. I wish I had spent more time with her. She was my everything. I don't know how to go on; and I am consumed by grief.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
