About Me:
I am married with 2 adult children 23 & 24. I am the middle child with a younger brother and older sister. We are all a very close family that loves camping and hiking and spending time together.
About my Loss:
I just lost my sister and brother-in-law in a tragic fire while they were in n.c. at their vacation cabin. My sister and I were extremely close we lived near each other and talked/texted many times throughout the day.

Have they still no determined a cause of death? I know it took a few weeks on my sister's certificate. It sounds like someone has dropped the ball here. I know the family needs to at least have a death certificate to move onto the next step.

Michelle, your tragedy really hits home with me. My sister and brother in law both died in a house fire on Easter morning 2014. I too have trouble sleeping and wonder how scary there last moments were. The images in my head are too much to bare sometimes. I had to set up the funeral arrangements so I go an in depth view of how bad it was for my sister. My brother in law jumped from a third story window and had head trauma. My sister was in the house till the fire was extinguished.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.
