- when I just turned 16 I witnessed something I would never wish anyone to have to go through or deal with..at 6:17am on July 29th, 1999 my mom was getting ready for work and I was still asleep since it was summertime, I was woken up to my mothers screams, I jumped out of bed and as soon as I did I heard 2 gunshots go off, her ex boyfriend came in my house shot and killed her at point blank range.

Traumatic loss of an only child
I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.

My mother was murdered too 28 years ago. Counselors could not help me because, they did not know what to say. The old story is you don't know what to say...Don't say anything...for your protection and theirs. She was shot with a shot gun..no way for her to survive. She left me her oldest child her two children. I had to grow up real fast...so I am going to tell you this...you will always have people that commit crimes in your S-list. You will move on as the days move. Now, I am back in the same situation it seems like, cause my son was Shot..and the girl he was with telling everyone he shot himself. I know he did not but can not get DA or Detectives to take the case serious and re-investigate it.
