About my Loss:
My mother passed away, January 9, 2013 (age 70); my brother four months later, May 9, 2013 (age 47) suicide or accidental overdose; and most recently my sister, November 23, 2014 from cancer (age 50). Since my father passed away in 1979 (age 37) result of homocide, I am the only remaining member of my "nuclear" family. I miss them terribly and find that other than my wonderfully supportive husband, others either avoid me or when they do see me act as if nothing has happened, or give me unsolicited advice as to what I should do to "get on with my life." All of this just compounds my feelings of grief as I feel ignored, isolated, and pressured.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
