About Me:
I'm 22, not currently enrolled in school, a cat lover, avid reader, and I work at a coffee shop.
About my Loss:
I'm gonna try to keep this short. My father passed suddenly of acute bronchial pneumonia 8 days before my 22nd birthday 5 months ago. Nobody saw it coming, nobody knew. He just didn't wake up.

When I was 16 my mother died from complications of Huntington's Disease (official cause was once again, pneumonia.)

My dad had a lot of issues. A lot. He had severe PTSD, he had anger issues, was an alcoholic, and was very emotionally abusive to me as a child. He loved me, he did. It was evident when he wasn't having a mental breakdown. But he just completely blocked himself off from me. My whole life.

I found out more about him after his death than in his life. The last time we spoke before his death I said,"Dad, I have this weird feeling that you're going to die. Please be careful." He said,"Girl, I'm not gonna die for a very long time." ...

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
