About Me:
I'm 18 years old, starting college in the fall. Majoring in business with hopes to move to Florida. I live in Texas with just my parents. Both sides of the family live in upstate NY. I rarely see them but I get past it. I have a boyfriend who's an amazing support. My parents are strict but not too strict.
About my Loss:
My grandma has always been a second parent to me. I was always at her house until she moved in with me and my parents. We added onto our house to give her her own kitchen, living room, bath room and bedroom. I was always at her house. She taught me how to drive. I was very very close to her. In 2008 she had surgery to get cancer taken out. Picked up an infection from the hospital. Has gone down hill ever since. Then in March 2011, she just reached her end. We took her to the hospital on a Friday. Within six days, her lung collapsed and leaking air so the Dr.'s couldn't get it back up, she had gotten pneumonia, had a major stroke that did her in and she was given a feeding tube. It wasn't her wish to be on life support. She never came to after the stroke so my dad, her son, decided to take her off everything. The next day she passed in the hospital. My parents have been under a lot of stress and were upset but my dad doesn't show emotion. I've lost it almost every night. Even on vacation in June I lost it. My parents would blow it off if I went to them for help. I now live in her place that was added onto my parents'. It's hard staring at the same walls that she once lived in. Even though it doesn't look the same, it still sucks.

Grandma sewing room

So I am almost done with cleaning my grandmas sewing room that wasn’t touched in 10 years because of all the mess, but now that she passed away 2 days ago, I don’t know if I should continue, I wanna finish what I started but I don’t know what to do, my grandpa is still alive and I don’t want to leave this burden on him.See More
