About Me:
I'm a lecturer, copyeditor, and academic - have a wonderful husband and 2 lovely daughters (and 2 charming cats).
About my Loss:
I lost my mother a year ago -- she was 92 and a half and was ready to go when she developed leukemia, but it was an awful 11 weeks back and forth between 2 hospitals, and appalling having to watch her suffer and not be able to help her. I am an only child and my father walked out when I was 6 months old, so my mother was my only parent; though she remarried when I was 7, my stepfather was not used to kids and kept his distance. So my mother and I were very close.

Grandma sewing room

So I am almost done with cleaning my grandmas sewing room that wasn’t touched in 10 years because of all the mess, but now that she passed away 2 days ago, I don’t know if I should continue, I wanna finish what I started but I don’t know what to do, my grandpa is still alive and I don’t want to leave this burden on him.See More
