About Me:
I was married an alcoholic for 10 years before I finally divorced him. He had lost his job and was on disability due to his alcoholism. We have one son who was 8 when he lost his dad.
About my Loss:
I was still very much in love with Ron. I had hoped the divorced would help him sober up. He had been in rehab 3 times before which didn't work. During the divorce, he drinking increased. The damage to his liver was done, and he had veraces. After a procedure to repair holes in his throat, one bled out. I knew he could die any day, but I thought we had a few more years. He was 46. My son struggles but isn't ready to discuss it. I cry every chance I get without him seeing. I have also cried in front of him a few times to show him that it is ok. I can't see to get over the hump and start feeling some happiness again. I don't know who to talk to about it.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
