About Me:
I was married for 44 years and I have 2 grown children. I have few really close friends and it has been nearly 4 months and I can't bother them w/ my feelings. I look 'ok' at work and can't rely on my children as they have loves of there own
About my Loss:
My husband of 44 years became ill suddenly, had surgery, was getting better and got pneumonia. He had code blue and was restarted breathing and heart going but never came back mentally. They thought he would get better too. 2 weeks from getting sick he died. Work is fine b/c I am busy and he had no part of my work so I am fine there. I can't expect my grown children (1 lives close to me and the other far away) to take on my daily grief. this is the first time in my life living absolutely alone and I am just making it minute by minute too many days, especially after work and on weekends

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More

Traumatic loss of an only child

I started this group so that people who have lost their only child or the only child that remained, as in my case, could come together because I believe people that did have a child or children who now have none have special issues.
