About Me:
My name is Laurie, 34yrs old from Pittsburgh Pa. I work in the medical field...love to do just about anything for fun. I come from a big family that I'am very close with. Very outgoing, bubbly personality and loving.
About my Loss:
I recently lost my mom December 17th 2011 due to a heart attack. She was only 74. Back in 2010, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Thank god it was the early stages and she only had to take Radation treatments. It did take a toll on her body though. She recovered from that...then in October of 2011 she had pneumonia really bad and was hospitalized for a couple wks..Radiation did a number on her immune system. Then she ended up back again in November with Penumonia once again and had a blood infection. I was very depressed during the times she was hospitalized. Dec, Dr told her she is doing great, pneumonia cleared and then on the 17th, she was sitting in the recliner and had a heart attack. I was with her when it happened, My body went completely numb, called 911, did CPR on her...thank god the ambulance service is just a st away...I was frantically calling relatives, crying hysterically...she passed away on route to hospital. I couldn't breathe, speak, and just went numb...my dad was a mess of course and brother also. So I called my dr to prescribe me medication to help me through the funeral. Some of the viewing was like a blur to me...We didn't want xmas, but thankfully our relatives came over and cooked and comforted us.. I'am still til this day shocked how fas she passed away. All I want to do is sleep and watch tv and isolate myself. I cry everday and can't seem to get out of this funk...hurts.

Grandma sewing room

So I am almost done with cleaning my grandmas sewing room that wasn’t touched in 10 years because of all the mess, but now that she passed away 2 days ago, I don’t know if I should continue, I wanna finish what I started but I don’t know what to do, my grandpa is still alive and I don’t want to leave this burden on him.See More
