About Me:
I am 25 years old and an Army Veteran.
About my Loss:
On October 19, 2012 I was heading to Port St Joe to see my mom who was on a womens retreat. I arrived at the condo a little after 8am to find out my mom had passed out and was taken by ambulance to the local hospital. Upon arrival I was greeted by the doctor who had been working on my mom only to be told that she could not be resuscitated. My mom was gone before she ever hit the ground after passing out. She was only 43. The worst part was I called my younger brother to let him know and forgot that it was his birthday. My family is from NC. It was hours before my husband could even get to me. The next few hours were a blurr as I updated my dad as to what was going on and what I needed him to do on his end to get mom home. Ill never forget sitting next to her bedside and holding her hand and being able to physically feel the warmth slipping from her body and knowing that she would never be coming back.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
