- About my Loss:
- Right now, all I can say is that my Daddy passed away on March 28, 2011. He was diagnosed with cancer in November 2010, stage 4 lung with a spot on his liver, but since they found it before he got sick I thought he would have more time. He did very well through his first round of treatments, even gained a few pounds. Then the first dose of the second round really made him sick. The doctors even said that he was not dying, he was just sick from the chemo. Since it was a three week drug I expected him to be better after that three weeks was over, but he just stopped breathing on that rainy Monday afternoon. We really could not have asked for a better situation because he would be so sick now if he were still here with us. I am really thankful for that because I can remember my strong Daddy, the farmer, the fixer, the comedian, my best friend! Unfortunately, I have kept myself so busy that I have been in denial until about two weeks ago, and now I am just realizing that I have been grieving. I came to this site because my grief has had a horrible affect on my Mother and my sister. I have been angry, lashing out at everyone around me, building up resentments and blaming others for everything. I have never been an angry person. My Mother told me tonight that she doesn't even know me anymore. I am just lost without my Daddy!
