My mom died 4 months ago
My mom had pulmonary fibrosis. She was sick for a few years. It was funny how when my grandmother smoked, my mom would always say-I’m gonna die from second hand smoke. My mom never smoked. This website is a great start. We all grieve differently and there is no time table for grieving. Read some of the other posts and you will find yourself in them; I know I did! I felt like an alien, that no one could know my pain, but after reading and sharing here I knew I was not alone and that what such a relief. I am also under the care of my physician, a behavioral therapist and will be seeing a psychiatrist in the near future.
If you have not done so please seek medical advice and/or spiritual counsel. Do you have a priest, pastor, or some other member of the clergy you can talk with?
When you feel like you can, share a little about your mom with us and if you like, post a photo of her. I can say I really have found that sharing with others has helped me a great deal.
Also, I am located here in San Antonio and can pass on resources to you if you would like, just let me know.
