About Me:
I am forty, single and work as a library clerk in Denver.
About my Loss:
My mother passed away in early October. We were incredibly close, she was my constant and now as I grieve and try to move forward with my life I find myself being increasingly isolated from those around me. They either can not relate to me and what I am going through or chose not to. Even those I thought were closest to me are no longer around, I literally have no support at all in my life to deal with my loss and the social isolation is just bringing it all home to me just how much I lost when I lost her.
I want to deal and be strong because not only is that what mom would have wanted but it is what everyone around me expects and requires from me. I can’t lean on anyone in my life because not only has no one offered support but they have made it clear that they have their own things they are dealing with and do not have the time or inclination to deal with me and my issues.
Does it get better? Do you ever figure out how to breath again? Does the phantom pain of the missing part of you life ever go away?

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
