About Me:
I am in my mid 30's and have been coping with the recent loss of my mother well, but would like an outlet other than my family to share some stories with and just talk about our collective experiences.
About my Loss:
A month ago my mother passed away from a very aggressive strain of breast cancer. She was considered cured up until march of this year when the cancer not only returned but aggressively spread.

My mom was such a loving and giving person. She was always a giver and I can sum up the type of person she was in one story. When diagnosed with metastatic disease, she asked the doctors if it made sense for her to get the chemo, wouldn't it make more sense to give it to someone younger or with a better chance. She was willing to give up her life for a total stranger. In death she asked that the doctor to do what ever they needed to with her body to learn anything that could help someone else. That was who she was and what she leaves behind, a trail of people made better by her generosity.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
