About Me:
Kecia 51 years old, mother of two Josh age 18 and M'hya 13. Master's degree in psychology with 5 classes left in Master's in marriage and family therapy. Christian who loves to cook and read. Works for Chili's and have been there for over 7 years.
About my Loss:
Married to Freddie since June 1997, we have been separated for years; however, never divorced. We co-parented. I moved back in with Freddie and the kids to have spine surgery April 2016. In June Freddie was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. I became his caregiver instead of him caring for me. The cancer went into remission in December. Freddie had been in and out of the hospital for weeks, months. The hospitals made many mistakes. The last one being they did not give him blood thinners after his DVT bloodclot in his arm. In the oncologist office he had a massive heart attack. He was taken right to the ER and given care. The cardiologist worked on him for 3 hours. After the procedure she gave me a picture of the clot she removed from his heart artery. Freddie was not able to breathe on his own and had an advance directive with a DNR. The ventilator was removed and he passed away in two hours.

She died from lung disease. Ironic.I was fine at the funeral. Planning. Talking to everyone. I thought u handled it great. Now 4 months later, I’m a mess. Some days I’m perfectly fine, but others I can’t walk down the street without crying. I keep thinking that I haven’t talked to her in a while & I…See More
