Profile Information

About Me:
I am a young adult who cared for my father during his 22 month battle with stage 4 kidney cancer.
About my Loss:
My father was my everything. He turned a 3 month death sentence into 22 months of life. My mother, brother, and I were all by his side during his last 2 weeks of life. I held his hand as he passed. I am having a very hard time with accepting this loss because cancer leaves me with no one and nothing to blame or be angry towards or hold responsible. My father never smoked or did anything else that would cause cancer. He did not deserve this, he deserved a fighting chance, but doctors ignored his symptoms until it was too late.

My mom died 4 months ago

My mom had pulmonary fibrosis. She was sick for a few years. It was funny how when my grandmother smoked, my mom would always say-I’m gonna die from second hand smoke. My mom never smoked. She died from lung disease. Ironic.I was fine at the funeral. Planning. Talking to everyone. I thought u handled it great. Now 4 months later, I’m a mess. Some days I’m perfectly fine, but others I can’t walk down the street without crying. I keep thinking that I haven’t talked to her in a while & I…See More
