About Me:
A mom who can't get past the murder of my oldest daughter. I'm retired (actually had to stop working when my daughter died), am married and have my younger daughter who is about to get married in May. I am financially ok, live part of the time in Reno and most of the time at a condo on the Oregon coast. But I struggle with depression.
About my Loss:
My oldest daughter (at the time was 20) was raped, strangled to death and her body set on fire on the 3rd of July, 1999. The murderer was a coworker and has been prosecuted through a plea bargain and received life without the possibility of parole for first degree murder and life with possibility of parole on first degree kidnapping.

I've been involved with legislative issues in the state to advocate for victims rights but found it kept bringing me back to a helpless and futile feeling so haven't gotten involved in a few years.

I'm so sorry about your daughter and wish that there was some way that I could help you on the legislative side.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
