About Me:
Like anyone else of my age (70) I've had many losses in my lifetime. Currently, we're saying goodbye to my ex-husband who is that in name only ("ex" I mean). We're closer now than we ever were when married. I've also lost multiple cats and dogs, and that is even harder than humans in some ways, because we're so bonded, and their love is so unconditional.
About my Loss:
As I said above, I've lost many - my parents (two weeks apart, in 2006), my sister, in 1996 (so I'm "an orphan") ;) My ex-husband is currently going through a hospice type stage and our son is particularly having a hard time dealing with it. I've always "stuffed" feelings and tried to "skip over" the grief process. I lost my left leg to cancer when I was 16, and no one told us then that I needed to go through a grieving process in that situation too.

My Fathers Loss

Many years ago, I lost my father after his battle with colon cancer that later spread to his bones. The grief stayed with me longer than I expected. Ambrosia Behavioral Health helped me work through that loss, understand my emotions, and find healthier ways to cope and move forward. https://www.ambrosiatc.comSee More
