About Me:
I'm 62, have been married for 40 years. My husband and I were together for 43 years. He was my world, had I not have met him 43 years ago, I would not have been here today.
I was born in Cleveland Mississippi, and raised in Indiana. I had many interest, until Bone degeneration wrecked havoc on my life, now I'm on Disability. I love animals, of any kind, except, 8 legged ones. Right now I have 2 dogs, and 4 cats.
About my Loss:
My husband was always a hard worker. Never complained of pain, only headaches. Never took off of work, except when he had surgery in 2010 and another in 2012, for clotted arteries. In April, he started having hoariness.he put it of as a sore throat. Refused to go to the doctor, until his boss made him go, in May. Dr. Rona said he had COPD, and I refused that answer, because I have COPD, and he wasn't doing anything like I did. She sent him to Dr. Bhatia, who was a cancer specialist. They ran all the test, PET/Scan, MRI, Ct Scan, Blood work. On May 20th we got the news. Skip had cancer in the right lung, throat and brain. They were going to start the Radiation treatments first for the brain tumors, then switch to chemo. A week before the treatments were to start, he started complaining that everything tasted like cardboard. He drink want to drink or eat, but he forced himself to. On May the 23rd, he lost control of his legs, going to the bathroom. I had a hard time getting him back to bed. I called Dr. Bhatia and he said to get him to the hospital, and they would give him fluids, throughout the stay. They were going to keep him there so they could do the radiation treatments. He was doing great. he was eating, and drinking, he just had trouble walking. On Staurday the 27th, Dr Magid came in looked at Skip, and said he could come off of the I.V.s. Sunday he had my husband moved to West Minister village for rehab. When he was checked in, that night, the Admin Nurse checked him over, and said He was Dehydrated, Not getting Oxygen to his legs, and his Blood Pressure was high. They called the on call Doctor, who came in Sunday, he looked at my husband, and said there wasn't anything they could do. I brought my husband home Wedensady, under hospice care, and he Died on June 12, 2015, one day short of his birthday. He would have been 74.

Grandma sewing room

So I am almost done with cleaning my grandmas sewing room that wasn’t touched in 10 years because of all the mess, but now that she passed away 2 days ago, I don’t know if I should continue, I wanna finish what I started but I don’t know what to do, my grandpa is still alive and I don’t want to leave this burden on him.See More
